NDSU outfielder Madyson Camacho was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District softball team in Division I, the organization announced July 1.
Camacho, a senior from Homeland, California, will advance to the ballot for Academic All-America honors later this summer.
Camacho was named to the All-Summit League second team this season, posting a .333 batting average and .372 on-base percentage. She earned a degree from NDSU in human development and family science.
District 6 is comprised of student-athletes from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at her current institution and be nominated by her sports information director.
