Seinquis Leinen, NDSU director of admission, is among the selections for United Way of Cass Clay’s 2022 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program.

The goal of the program is to inspire local women from all backgrounds to make a difference, help them realize their leadership skills and energize their collective power as women in the community.

“I am excited to participate in this unique opportunity and am honored to have been selected,” Leinen said. “I know of many phenomenal women who have been selected for this program in the past. I admire their accomplishments and their contributions to the Fargo-Moorhead community. Many of these women are working mothers, and as a working mother myself I have found their stories to be extremely impactful and educational. I am looking forward to beginning this program in January and am grateful for the opportunity.”

Now in its 14th year, a total of 490 local women have participated in the program. The 35 young women invited to participate in 2022 will meet each month and take part in several sessions that will cover topics such as goal-setting, communication, personal growth, board leadership, public speaking, conflict management and other leadership-focused issues.

“I am most excited about this opportunity because I am someone who seeks to continually grow as a leader and I believe in the power of meaningful connections,” Leinen said. “I hope to learn strategies to be an effective leader and mentor, how to best support and give back my community and make lasting relationships with exceptional women.”

Leinen joined the NDSU admission office in 2014. She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of North Dakota and Master of Education in education administration at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Applications for the 2023 United Way 35 Under 35 Women’s Leadership Program will be available in fall 2022.
