Brady Beer has been named Outstanding Graduate in the NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health, Bismarck, North Dakota, for the class of December 2021.

Beer, from Lemmon, South Dakota, has been involved in Student Council, Student Nurses Association and tutoring during her time as a nursing student.

“I want to be there for people to help guide them through the process, provide education and advocate for my patients,” she said.

Beer said the program at NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health provided her with an ability to lead, be involved in nursing-related clubs and activities, and connect with faculty and classmates.

“Our faculty appreciate Brady’s kind, respectful and thoughtful approach to nursing,” said Charys Kunkel, director of nursing and assistant professor of practice at NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health.

Beer will begin her nursing career in Bismarck, working in rapid evaluation and response, with the goal of one day becoming a flight nurse. She received her nursing pin at a ceremony in Bismarck on Dec. 10.

With sites in Bismarck and Fargo, the NDSU School of Nursing offers accredited programs to part- and full-time students, working professionals and students seeking online educational opportunities. As part of the NDSU College of Health Professions, the School of Nursing also is a ROTC Center of Nursing Excellence.
