7 Bison football student-athletes named to honor society

NDSU had seven student-athletes listed among the 2022 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, as announced April 13 by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.

An elite group of 1,559 players from 313 schools qualified for membership in 2022, the society's 16th year. NDSU’s seven selections included defensive tackles Costner Ching and Lane Tucker, defensive ends Logan McCormick and Brayden Thomas, linebackers Jackson Hankey and Mason Hofstedt and kicker Jake Reinholz.

Nominated by their respective schools, members of the honor society must have:

• Completed their final year of eligibility in fall 2021

• Attained a minimum undergraduate cumulative GPA of 3.2

• Met all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress towards degree requirements

• Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2021 season
