Boston Brass set to return to NDSU for Summer Intensive Workshop

The NDSU Challey School of Music is set to welcome the world-renowned Boston Brass ensemble to Fargo next week to begin its Summer Intensive workshop at the Reineke Fine Arts Center June 13-17.

The Boston Brass quintet will teach and coach its registered participants on a number of techniques and is also scheduled to perform Thursday, June 16, at 7 p.m., in Beckwith Recital Hall. The concert is free to the public.

In addition, Boston Brass and workshop participants are set to perform Friday, June 17, at 2 p.m. in Festival Concert Hall to close the week-long event.

Performing classical arrangements to jazz standards, Boston Brass treats audiences to a unique brand of entertainment. The philosophy of Boston Brass is to provide audiences with a wide selection of musical styles in unique arrangements, provided in a friendly and fun atmosphere.

They have performed in 49 states and 30 countries and conducted master classes around the world, including sessions and residencies at the Eastman School of Music, The Julliard School, Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, Peabody Conservatory of Music, University of North Texas, Royal Academy of Music in London, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory at the National University of Singapore, Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts and Mahidol University in Bangkok.
