For the ninth consecutive year, the NDSU men’s basketball team has earned the Team Academic Excellence Award presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The academic award program recognizes outstanding achievement by teams with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the 2021-22 season. NDSU’s men's basketball roster combined for a cumulative 3.24 team GPA. 

In addition, NDSU also had five men’s basketball players named to the NABC Honors Court announced July 19. Andrew Kallman, Rocky Kreuser, Tyree Eady, Sam Griesel, and Grayson Haman earned the academic recognition for the Bison.

Student-athletes must have junior, senior or graduate student academic standing and a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher at the end of the academic year to qualify for the NABC Honors Court.
