Student Health Service has received a three-year accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the maximum period of certification offered through the association. It is the sixth successful accreditation for Student Heath Service since 2007.

“Our students deserve the very best so we strive for the highest level of care possible,” said Patricia Dirk, Student Health Service director. “This certification comes from an independent, non-profit organization that closely examines both our facility and our procedures. AAAHC accreditation reflects the high quality of care being provided to the students of NDSU.”

AAAHC accreditation offers comprehensive, relevant and concise standards that are nationally recognized. It requires extensive self-assessment and an on-site survey by physicians, nurses and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care.

Student Health Service is a medical clinic and pharmacy providing preventative, acute and chronic care to NDSU students. It provides a variety of services, including telehealth, health promotion, lab diagnostic testing and X-rays. Its mission is to provide inclusive, quality healthcare while promoting overall student well-being.

As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
