Jordan Dipalma, NDSU coordinator for fraternity and sorority life, has been selected as the 2022 Campus Professional of the Year Award recipient by Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. She was nominated by the North Dakota Beta chapter.

“Receiving this award has taken me completely by surprise,” said Dipalma, who joined NDSU in June 2018. “I went into the profession of fraternity and sorority life because I believe in the power of the Greek experience. My whole life changed in the best way the day I accepted my bid, and that is what I want to do for students. I want to watch them grow personally and professionally through their Greek experience. Receiving this award tells me that I must be doing something right.”

In her duties, Dipalma advises the InterFraternity Council, Panhellenic Council and Order of Omega. She oversees the 12 fraternities and four sororities at NDSU.

“To thank and recognize the campus professionals that assist Phi Delta Theta chapters across North America, each chapter has the opportunity to nominate someone on their campus who has made a meaningful impact on their chapter, fraternity and sorority community or the campus as a whole. Only one recipient will be selected,” wrote Todd Simmons, Phi Delta Theta national director of member success, in a letter to Dipalma. “Congratulations on this honor! We truly appreciate all that you do to support Phi Delta Theta.”

Dipalma is active in several campus activities, including Welcome Week team recruitment, President's Council for Campus Well-Being and the Diversity and Inclusion Welcome Week Committee. She also has served as vice chair for the Theta Phi Alpha National Housing Corporation since January 2019.

Phi Delta Theta was established at NDSU in November 2020 with the recruitment of 25 founding members. It is the newest fraternity at NDSU and the second chapter in the state.
