Innovation Week kicks off with breakfast, breakout sessions

The third annual Innovation Week begins Tuesday, Jan. 24, with a 7:30 a.m. kick-off breakfast with NDSU President Dean L. Bresciani in the Richard H. Barry Hall Atrium. The breakfast is for students, faculty, local business leaders and community members.

“The breakfast will provide a great opportunity to network and to meet the teams competing in Wednesday’s Innovation Challenge ’12,” said Brenda Wyland, associate director of the NDSU Research and Technology Park. The breakfast is free. No registration is required.

The first of three breakout sessions at Barry Hall will be 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in room 124. The speaker for “I have an idea. Now what?” is Craig Dresser, CEO of InterceptEFT, an electronic transactions company, located in Fargo.

“Need money, find an angel” will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Barry Hall room 360. The speakers are James Burgum, co-founder and managing director of Arthur Ventures Growth Fund of Fargo, and Jim Buus, president of the Fargo Moorhead Angel Investment Fund.

“Who is my customer and how do I find them?” will be 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Eide Bailly Room. The speaker is Andrea Morrow, direct marketing strategist at Flint Communications of Fargo.
