Business faculty’s research published, recognized

David Herda, assistant professor of accounting, co-wrote “The Effect of Board Independence on the Sustainability Reporting Practices of Large U.S. Firms,” which has been accepted for publication in Issues in Social and Environmental Accounting. Herda is the lead author on the manuscript. His co-authors are Martin Taylor and Glyn Winterbotham, both from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Herb Snyder, professor of accounting, was notified that his article, “Intellectual Capital and Economic Espionage: New Crimes and New Protections,” will be published in the book, “Transnational Financial Crime.”  

Ruilin Tian, assistant professor of finance, had her article, “Revisit Zero Inflation Policy: Feasible or Mirage?” accepted for publication in the Journal of Macroeconomic Dynamic Research. The journal contains double-blind, peer-reviewed articles covering all areas of macroeconomics. This is the second article Tian has had accepted for publication this academic year. 

Chanchai Tangpong, associate professor of management, co-wrote the paper, "A Temporal Approach to Successful Turnaround in Declining Firms." It has been selected for the Best Paper Proceedings at the 2013 Academy of Management Meeting.
