Susan Curtis hired as collections manager for Emily Reynolds Historic Costume Collection

Susan Curtis has been hired as collections manager for the Emily Reynolds Historic Costume Collection, which is part of the apparel, design and hospitality management department at North Dakota State University. Curtis will work closely with curator Ann Braaten to maintain and provide access to the collection.

Curtis earned a master’s degree in museum studies, with a collections management focus, and a minor in textiles, clothing and design from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Before coming to NDSU, she served as collections manager and assistant curator at the Great Plains Art Museum and collections/Native American Graves Repatriation Act assistant at the University of Nebraska State Museum.

The Emily Reynolds Historic Costume Collection is a repository of material culture focusing on clothing, textiles and related items, which enhances the awareness of fashion history as it relates to society, history and culture.
