NDSU Libraries participates in Money Smart Week

The NDSU Libraries are taking part in Money Smart Week April 20-27. The public awareness program is designed to help people better manage their personal finances. Organized by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the NDSU Libraries have joined together with hundreds of organizations around the country to stress the importance of financial literacy.

Bethany Vincent from Bison Connection will present on student loans, debt and what financial steps students should take after college. Her presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, at 4 p.m. in the Main Library’s Weber Reading room.

Record Keepers LLC will donate their document shredding services on Thursday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Their truck will be parked outside the Main Library and collection bins will be available at all branch libraries. Record Keepers representatives will be available to answer questions about the shredding process.

The events are free and open to the public. For more information, contact alicia.kubas@ndsu.edu at 701-231-8888 or megan.richardson@ndsu.edu at 701-231-8395.
