NDSU student ambassador organizations recognized at district conference

Two NDSU organizations were recognized with three awards at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education-Affiliated Student Advancement Programs District 6 annual conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The presentations were made during the district’s awards dinner April 13.

The College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences Ambassadors received the Outstanding Organization of the Year award. NDSU Bison Ambassadors received Outstanding Internal Program award for their fall retreat and the Tried and True Program award for the NDSU Away Game Watch Party.

“The awards are a great honor for both organizations. It is nice when the hard work of our students’ on campus gets recognized outside of NDSU,” said Sara Wald, director of advancement for the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences.

Wald and Dana Davis, director of recruitment, co-advise the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences Ambassadors. Stephanie Maier, director of programs and student engagement-NDSU Alumni Association, advises the NDSU Bison Ambassadors.

CASE-ASAP District 6 includes educational institutions from Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
