NDSU IT staff present on identity, access management

NDSU chief information technology security officer Theresa Semmens and senior software engineer Richard Frovarp recently presented at a webinar panel discussion on “Aligning Identity and Access Management With Your Information Security Program.” Other presenters included information technology staff from Columbia University in New York City and from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

The panel focused on campus efforts related to identity management and information security at higher education institutions, as they strive to keep up with advances in technology, changes in security threats and vulnerabilities, increases in compliance obligations and modernization of institutional business processes. Presenters shared strategies for aligning identity and access management and information security in light of current challenges and opportunities.

The webinar was sponsored by Internet2’s InCommon Federation in cooperation with the Educause Identity and Access Management Working Group.
