Rags-to-riches CEO highlights NDSU Latino Heritage Month

North Dakota State University will host a speech by a rags-to-riches author and CEO to celebrate Latino Heritage Month. The event is free and open to the public. 

Andres Lara will lead an inspirational talk titled “How to Move Forward When You Feel Like Quitting: Becoming Unstoppable” scheduled Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union Prairie Rose room.

Lara, who came alone and penniless to America from Cuba at 16 years old, is the author of several international best-selling books. Titles include “Inspire the Sleeping Giant Within,” “How to Stay Motivated During Difficult Times” and “The Finish Line.” 

The 26-year-old is currently the CEO of A. Success Training. He is the former president of Inspirational Magazine and a nationally renowned public speaker.

Lara will give away 100 copies of his latest book “Challenging the Voice Within” at the presentation. National Latino Heritage Month is Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
