Executive Education Program strategic sessions announced

NDSU Distance and Continuing Education is launching an Executive Education Program to provide ongoing executive leadership development for business owners, executives and mid-level and emerging leaders. The programming concentrates on three segments: Business Owner Solutions Series, Leadership Excellence Advancement Program and Executive Suite.

As part of the Business Owner Solutions Series, the first session, “Grow Your Business…and Get Yourself Out of the Way!” begins Sept. 27. The series covers a range of topics, including process improvement, business development, leadership, strategic marketing and exit strategies. The region’s business owners will gain valuable insight from business experts, who provide practical solutions to common challenges, as well as the opportunity to connect with peers.

The Leadership Excellence Advancement Program launches with “The 7 Mindsets @ Work with Scott Shickler” Oct. 3 as local leaders and the co-author of “The 7 Mindsets” share how mindsets impact happiness and success. The Leadership Excellence Advancement Program concentrates on mid-level leadership development through such sessions as improving critical thinking, becoming a sustainable leader and resolving conflicts.

The Executive Suite series focuses on the leadership development of executives and business owners with enterprise-level strategic responsibility within an organization. The personal and professional growth of these key leaders is reflected in their organization, and this series provides the tools and resources for executive leadership excellence. On Oct. 24, the Executive Suite begins with “The Power of Servant Leadership” offering exclusive interaction with James C. Hunter, author of “The Servant,” on the timeless and life-changing principles, application methods and specific behaviors of servant leadership.
