Dr. Rathge has been a member of the North Dakota State University faculty since 1981. Dr. Rathge has a joint appointment with the Department of Agricultural Economics. He is the director of the North Dakota State Census Data Center.
Research interests include demographic analysis, labor force analysis, rural community research, and population impact assessment. Specific emphasis on migration impacts, community viability, adolescent stress and career choice, rural health delivery systems, and the changing structure of agriculture.
