Research Overview: My interest in studying communication and technology stems from an understanding that technology is a powerful tool for communication, and will likely only continue to become more powerful, for better and for worse. I seek to understand more about how technology impacts the communication process, and how people use various technologies to accomplish their communication goals with what effects.

Teaching Overview: I teach a variety of courses across both undergraduate and graduate levels. I want students to be an active member of their own learning. I try to engage students and get them to actively consider how the content of the various courses I teach is relevant to their lives, and how they can apply content to improve their communication. Luckily, communication is an inherently relevant and applicable subject no matter our goals in life.
