Recognizing and Adapting to Pandemic-Related Changes in Teaching and Learning

Drs. Jill Nelson (Professor in the School of Education, Doctoral Program Coordinator, and Associate Dean of the College of Human Development and Education) and Carrie Anne Platt (Professor in Communication and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences)

Drs. Nelson and Platt reflected on lessons learned from teaching and working with students over the past two and a half years. The first goal of the session was to recognize how the pandemic – and changes made in response to it – impact our work today. The second goal was to share strategies for addressing diminished student engagement, social-emotional learning loss, and instructor burnout.
