This training is also open and recommended to any faculty or staff member that will be part of a search committee although the training is geared towards academic searches. Anyone who plans to be a chair of an academic search (this includes faculty, lecturers and postdocs) is required to attend the in person training within three years prior to your position being posted.

The training will include information on procedural aspects of the search process, as well as research-based information addressing the ways that bias can influence the recruitment and screening of applicants in a search and strategies for overcoming bias.
