Graduate Admission

Deadlines for Graduate applications:
All application materials are due one month before registration for U.S. students. For international students, all materials must be received by the Graduate School prior to March 1 for Fall Semester and prior to September 1 for Spring Semester. We recommend that you apply as early as possible, since we often make offers to especially qualified students shortly after we receive their applications.
Fees: The Graduate School's application fee is $35.
International applicants: Admission requirements include a bachelor's degree in physics with a grade point average of at least 3.6.
To be eligible for a Graduate Teaching Assistantship, international students from non-English-speaking countries must have a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 81 (speaking 23 or above and writing 21 or above) or IELTS score of 7.0 (speaking and writing 6.0 or above).

We cannot consider applications from students who do not meet these minimum requirements.
Official scores must be sent through ETS. The institutional code for NDSU is 6474 and the code for Physics is 0808.
The general and subject GREs are not required.
