Email Signatures, Electronic Letterhead, and Web Uses Incorporating the Logo and Signature into Email Signatures

ASU employees are welcome to include one of the official ASU logo configurations in their ASU email signature as long as no other logos are included. Employees of units with approved endorsed brands may use that brand in their ASU email signature. Because ASU email is university business correspondence, personal tag lines and quotations are not permitted in email signatures with an ASU logo. (Please refer to ACD-125 for ASU email policy.) Choose from the official ASU logo and signature configurations available in the download library.

Electronic Letterhead

Electronic letterhead is available and approved for use by ASU units. E-letterhead is not a substitute for printing official ASU stationery and does not replace hard copy originals for official ASU documents. The graphic standards that apply to printed letterhead also apply to electronic letterhead. Units may request a template version of their ASU letterhead from ASU Print & Imaging Lab at the time of a print stationery order for no cost, or for a minimal cost without a print order. Contact ASU Print & Imaging Lab for additional information at 480-727-1636 orlinda.pederson@asu.edu. A generic ASU electronic letterhead template is also available as a Word document. Including contact information within the body of the document is recommended when using the generic template.

Web Uses of the Logo and Signature

Use of the ASU logo and signature on the ASU website is addressed in the ASU Web Standards.

E-Newsletters

When using an html format for newsletters on the web, follow the area of isolation guidelines for web use of the logo and signature. The ASU logo must be included at the top of html newsletters.
