Nick Borman is the senior vice president of engineering and construction at Tenaska. At Tenaska Borman provides functional group leadership for engineering and construction management, technology assessment and evaluation, electric transmission analysis and environmental services. He is responsible for overseeing project planning and execution for environmental permitting, engineering and construction of new energy facilities, including advanced technology power generation, electric transmission, natural gas midstream, energy storage and renewable energy projects. He is a member of the Board of Stakeholders and serves as a member of various management committees associated with Tenaska business units.
Borman supervises project planning, environmental services, transmission analysis, project engineering, construction management, project management, construction contract development and contract administration for engineering, procurement and construction contracts, equipment purchase contracts and interconnection facilities contracts. He directs the engineering and construction teams that perform the conceptual design, detailed project engineering, technology assessment and selection process, transmission analysis and environmental services support for new project development and acquisition activities.
Borman’s experience in project management and project engineering dates to 1984. This experience includes development, design and engineering; contract development, management and administration; and construction, start-up and operations of fossil-fueled and nuclear-fueled power generating facilities.
Borman has been involved in the project engineering, construction management, project management and contract administration on Tenaska projects throughout North America and internationally since 1991. He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from North Dakota State University. He is a registered professional engineer and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
