What are your primary job responsibilities?
Leading improvement of ergonomics throughout assembly manufacturing plant.
Describe what your day-to-day work life looks like.
Managing team of three to plan and prioritize ergonomic improvements in the plant, coaching and developing team members, guiding team members on ergonomic improvements, developing plant ergonomic strategies, leading ergonomic improvement projects at plant and through Cummins, supporting over health, safety and environmental at the plant as an HSE leader, developing initiative to sustain ergonomic improvements, attending meeting to progress and improve ergonomics and safety in the plant, working directly in manufacturing plant not at home.
What is most rewarding about your job?
Helping employees not get injured so they can enjoy their life outside of work, freedom in role to define strategy and path to success, from the Lorax, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better it's not."
What is most challenging about your job?
Being often the first to lead tough changes, leading Cummins and industry in ergonomics and limited benchmarking resources.
