CoE graduate students are expected to develop their own course of study and research in consultation with a supervising advisory committee that includes a major advisor and three or more faculty members in the research area of interest. The collegial nature of the faculty guidance ensures you receive a well-balanced level of support.
There are many ways to fund your graduate education at NDSU. Students who are admitted into the College of Engineer's graduate program usually receive support (tuition and a stipend) for their period of study, provided their performance is satisfactory. Applicants are expected to hold baccalaureate degrees from universities of recognized standing prior to admission. Applicants should have shown an outstanding performance and generally acquired a grade point average of 3.0 or higher from their undergraduate degree. Because graduate admission is competitive at NDSU, we suggest that you apply in advance of deadlines.
