Minor in Artificial Intelligence
Starting in the Fall of 2023, the department will offer a Minor in Artificial Intelligence. This minor will allow students to deepen their understanding of Artificial Intelligence. The minor is laid out to include a concise coverage of mathematical and computational foundations, a specific course on artificial intelligence, and an elective that can be drawn from courses offered in the computer science department or any of the other departments that have broadened their machine learning and artificial intelligence offerings in recent years.
The Minor requires at least 19 semester hours of Computer Science courses. A minimum of eight credits must be earned in residence at NDSU. Students must declare their minor(s), online through the Major / Minor form found in the forms section, on the Registration and Records website. A grade of C or better is required in all courses applied toward the Computer Science Minor. Cannot be declared with the Standard track or the Data Science track of the B.S. in Computer Science.
