Research Integrity, Security, and Compliance (RISC)
The Research Integrity, Security, and Compliance (RISC) office is responsible for implementing programs that ensure integrity, compliance, and security while assisting faculty, staff and students in the understanding and compliance of federal, state and university regulations, laws, and policies surrounding funded and unfunded research. Areas of support include: research security, export controls, use of vertebrate animals in research, teaching and testing, research with human subjects, biosafety, dual-use research of concern (DURC), use of controlled substances in research, financial conflicts of interest (COI) or conflicts of commitment (CoC) related to research, uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) compliance and reporting of research misconduct.
