Public Health Minor

The public health minor (20 credits) will serve to engage students in the history and philosophy of public health as well as its core values, concepts and functions across the globe and in society. Courses identified will include the basic concepts, methods and tools of public health data collection. The minor will also include understanding of the socioeconomic, behavioral, and biological factors that impact human health and contribute to health disparities. Communication skills will be emphasized through writing, critical thinking, and other methods of oral and visual/electronic communication.
