On Feb. 4, APHA will join advocates from nearly 40 national organizations on Capitol Hill asking members of Congress to support the Prevention and Public Health Fund. We would like you to join us by sending a message to your members of Congress urging their strong support for this critical public health funding.
The fund is supporting community and clinical prevention efforts, strengthening state and local health departments and the public health workforce and helping to advance science and research. Together, we must ensure that the fund will be able to invest, as intended, $13.5 billion over the next 10 years in effective, proven prevention efforts, such as childhood obesity prevention and tobacco cessation.
Tell your members of Congress how the fund is supporting important prevention and public health activities in your state and community, and ask them to join you in becoming vocal advocates for the fund!
