Current Room Re-Selection

Upper-division housing sign-up week begins in January. As part of that process students can re-select their current residence hall room*.

_{*Rooms that are part of the Engineering Leadership Learning Community or the Health Professions Learning Community cannot be re-selected. 
*Double rooms purchased as a single occupancy room can be reselected during the room renewal process in January, BUT it will be a double occupancy room so a roommate assigned to the space.}

Super Singles and Doubles

Doubles in ANY Residence Hall: Upper-division students can select to live in any residence hall. 

Super Singles: Upper-division  students will have access to "super singles" in limited halls. Super Singles are traditional residence hall rooms (that typically have two students), but they will be reserved as a single space.

Cater Hall

From modern architectural planning to innovative residence hall design, Cater provides a state-of-the-art living environment for NDSU students. Cater also offers two suite options, co-ed floors, central air, and tunnel access to the WDC.

ROOMS/SUITE INFORMATION: 

• Two-bedroom, four-person suite: Two double bedrooms that share a foyer with a private bathroom, shower and vanity with two sinks. 
• One-bedroom, two-person suite: One double bedroom that has a foyer with a private bath, shower and vanity with one sink. 

Meal plan: Upper-division students living in Cater are required to select one of four meal plan options: Five-day unlimited, seven-day unlimited, 220-block, or 145-block. Learn more about NDSU Dining's NEW meal plan options for upper-division students.

Mathew Living Learning Centers (East and West)

The MLLCs offer on-campus luxury living with fully furnished, apartment-style units and are conveniently located next to the Wallman Wellness Center. The MLLCs also offer:

• Single/private bedrooms in both the studio and four-bedroom units
• Large closets and plenty of storage space
• Central air; each student apartment has its own thermostat
• Kitchenette in studios; full kitchen in four-bedroom (both include stove, microwave and fridge). Pots, pans and utensils not included.
• Laundry rooms on each wing of every floor free for residents to use
• Lounge areas with recreation equipment, such as ping pong and pool tables
• Study lounges, with onsite printing

Meal plan: Not required

MATHEW LIVING LEARNING CENTER EAST:

• Studios are furnished with a bed, bookshelf, desk, desk chair, and additional soft single seat chair. All furniture is moveable. The closet is installed into the wall and is comprised of multiple shelves, drawers, and hanging area.
• Four-bedroom units additionally have a standing, moveable wardrobe in each bedroom, rectangular kitchen table, four chairs, and storage closet. The living room is furnished with a soft single seat chair, end table, lamp, and one or two couches.
  • The bathrooms are comprised of a single sink, mirror, toilet, shower, shower curtain, recessed wall shelving, and under sink storage. 

MATHEW LIVING LEARNING CENTER WEST:

• Studios are furnished with a bed, bookshelf, desk, and trey chair. The wardrobe is an open wardrobe installed into the wall and is not moveable. The kitchen has an additional pantry area. The bathroom is comprised of a single sink, mirror, toilet, shower, shower curtain, under sink storage and recessed wall shelving.
• Four-bedroom unit bedrooms come with an additional small, moveable dresser. Additionally, in the kitchen, they have a storage closet, round high top kitchen table, and four chairs. The living room is furnished with an end table, couch, soft single seat chair, and ottoman.
  • The bathroom is comprised of two sinks, two mirrors, and under sink storage and has a separate door to a single toilet, shower, shower curtain, and recessed wall shelving. 
    
    

Mathew Living Learning Centers

Niskanen Hall (North, Middle, South)

Niskanen Hall (North, South and Middle) provides non-first-year students a fully furnished, apartment-style experience.

• Located directly east of the Fargodome
• Walking distance from classes
• On-site bike share and bus stop for quick and convenient travel.
• On-site laundry rooms free for residents to use
• A great choice for students who want an apartment setting, but don't want to furnish one or live on campus during the summer.

Meal plan: Not required

NORTH AND SOUTH:

North and South provide two single bedrooms per unit, meaning each unit houses two residents. Each unit includes: two bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, window air-conditioning units, large storage closet and full kitchen.

MIDDLE:

Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, central air and kitchen with dishwasher and microwave.

Completed in the fall of 2018, Apartment 1701 is NDSU's newest apartment complex. Featuring large walk-in closets, beautiful open concept living/kitchen space, huge bathrooms and generous storage spaces, you can tell 1701 was designed with today's student in mind.
